Allow God to Break You

Life is birthed when an egg breaks after it matures. Out of a broken seed a new plant sprouts. Brokenness births newness. When we experience true brokenness, self is crushed and God is manifested in and through us. When God’s word penetrates it breaks us and grows into a fruit bearing tree because our hearts are open. (Hebrews 4:12, Jeremiah 4:3-4). If we are not spiritually broken our usefulness to God will be limited. We have to come to a place of being undone before we experience wholeness. (Isaiah 6:1-7). Brokenness is when we realise how helpless we are on our own and then we open up ourselves to God in genuine fellowship and allow Him to conform us to Himself. We have to allow God break us by dropping our will and consciously opening up ourselves to His own will. We have to let go of the life we are used to and the one we desire and embrace the one that He had for us in Christ. Mist believe in the finished works of Christ but the reason that the reality is not evident in our lives is because we are not spiritually broken for it to be express through us, so it remains as head knowledge. Brokenness is the bridge between knowing and becoming or doing. Brokenness quickens us to the fire God is starting in our lives and to what God wants to do in our lives and generation. When we are broken we give ourselves over to God in reckless abandon and allow Him to navigate our lives whichever way suits Him. To be able to truly live one has to die to self, for in Christ we are alive. (Galatians 2:20, John 12:24-26). Sometimes, certain things need to be torn completely in order for it to be made new and be used in the required capacity. (Mark 2:21-22). Brokenness crushes the desire for sin in our life. It makes us to grasp the reality of the cross. The word discerns our thoughts and intentions and a new us emerges. When we are not broken, sin might be suppressed but the desires still abounds and their could be a snap back and we could get worse, which explains why people that go through social rehabilitation can go back into the same cycle they seemed to have broken from. But spiritual brokenness takes away the source of the virus of sin beyond mental reorientation. It us more like a spiritual surgery on our desires, thoughts and intents. Let us stop logic, self and what we think we know and allow God to break us and make us whole. For out of brokenness beauty is produced.
